Mitch McDeere is a young and ambitious Harvard Law student. Mitch is widely sought after by law firms, but turns down several offers from top firms to go to work for a small, but wealthy Memphis firm.
Ignoring his wife's initial misgivings about the new job and the partners at the firm, Mitch dives into his new career with ambition and greed. But when two of his fellow lawyers die mysteriously, Mitch begins to listen to his wife and ultimately uncovers that the firm is a front for a complex web of organized crime from which no lawyer has ever escaped. Mitch must choose to either accept his role in the firm fully or turn the firm in and help the FBI bring it down.
