Prequel to The Exorcist. The film traces the story of Father Lankester Merrin (Skarsård) back to his first encounter with the Devil in post-WW II Africa.

A high-speed comedy-adventure in which three young guys go into the Oregon wilderness in search of lost treasure. They take a canoe upriver and everything that can go wrong does. Hunted by two backwoods dope farmers, they encounter death-defying rapids, tree-hugging hippie chicks and a crazy old mountain man played by Burt Reynolds.

Set in a small Oregon town where secrets are hard to keep and lies even harder, "Mean Creek" flows with a simple elegance of truth and consequences as it follows a crisis in the lives of its teen characters, keenly directed by first-timer Jacob Aaron Estes. The journey within begins as a plot for playful payback on a local troublemaker; the journey onscreen begins with a river, as a ragtag group of troubled-and-not teenagers set out on a boat trip to celebrate the birthday of their youngest member. As a sort of boyish Heart of Darkness trip develops, cracks in the crew form when some of the teens have second thoughts about what they are about to do.

As with previous Benji movies, the film is told from the dog's point-of-view with no gimmicks -- no talking dogs, animation or narration. The story of this new Benji's early life is the backdrop for "Benji Returns: Rags to Riches". In what may be the first true "mutt buddy" picture in feature film history, the storyline finds Benji in an unwanted partnership with a hapless but loveable shaggy dog. The unlikely duo struggle to save Benji's mother from the dangers of a greedy and irresponsible backyard breeder.
